Asoloshire has been created from an idea but above all from a commercial necessity.
Asoloshire is an area which stretches from the hills of Conegliano in the east across the Veneto plains to Bassano del Grappa in the west.
The area extending to the north joins up with hills of outstanding beauty which lead up to the majestic Dolomites, now a Unesco heritage.
This area is famous for its Palladium Villas, the birth place of the famous Antonio Canova and home to Robert Browning and his wife Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Eleonora Duse the well known Italian actress, the authoress and explorer Freya Stark who all resided in the breathtaking ancient town of Asolo nestling in the hills.
